Jan Howells - Owner and Instructor
Jan has over 20 years experience in the fitness industry & is a qualified tutor for Active IQ and delivers instructor training for Gym and ETM courses at levels 2 & 3. She is a qualified Postural Stability Instructor (Level 4), widely regarded as one of the highest qualifications in the UK for delivering classes to the elderly and works with Cornwall’s PCT and Age UK Cornwall & IOS to design specific programmes for their clients. She is also a Level 3 Assessor and a Level 4 Verifier. Amongst her other qualifications are ISRM in Sports management, Pilates, Personal Training, Zumba, Pump, Jam, ETM, Gym Instructor, Bosu, Fitball, Ballet Fusion. She is also a qualified Nordic Walking instructor. She is in high demand for her Personal Training sessions and has an elite list of clients in the film industry. Her energy is boundless, her classes and enthusiasm are highly motivating, and the results of her clients speak for themselves.
Mark Howells - Owner and Instructor
Mark Howells has over 15 years’ experience in teaching, is Cert Ed qualified and is a Postural Stability Instructor (Level 4). He also teaches for Cornwall’s Adult Education curriculum, delivering Gym Instructor Level 2 courses, as well as ITEC – Anatomy & Physiology and Pilates Level 2. He is also a qualified instructor for Active IQ and delivers Gym Instructor training courses. He is also a qualified Nordic Walking instructor. Amongst his other qualifications are Sports Nutrition Level 4, and runs the one2one Nutrition clinics. He also has vast experience in teaching people with special needs, and works with Home Farm Trust Wadebridge in developing exercises for their clients. Mark is highly regarded for his teaching skills and professionalism, and his wealth of knowledge and no-nonsense attitude contributes to his success as a master instructor.
Chloe Mewton - Instructor
Chloe Mewton, who is the youngest member of the one2one team, has worked for one2one Fitness for over three years. She originally studied with one2one to become a fitness instructor on one of its highly popular ETM courses. Her skills and ability quickly became apparent, and Jan and Mark were quick to snap her up to work at one2one when her excellent potential became clear. Her caring and discerning manner contributes to her classes, which are always full and in high demand, and she is a hugely important member of the team. She is a Level 3 Assessor, and at present teaches Nordic Walking, Spinning, Groove FX, and Legs, Tums 'n' Bums .
Dan Lumb - Instructor
Dan Lumb has worked at one2one Fitness for over three years and highly respected by members and staff alike, and always has a smile on his face! He has a Certificate in Education qualification and is a valued member of the one2one Fitness teaching team, and is a key part of the one2one Fitness instructor training programme. He is also a qualified Nordic Walking instructor. He has a wealth of fitness knowledge and experience, having played rugby for many league clubs including Wadebridge Camels, and is also and experienced personal trainer at the club.
Helen Ollett-Nash - Instructor
Helen Munds has taught Balance in the fitness industry for many years, and has a wealth of knowledge having previously co-owned a private health club in nearby Bodmin. Helen currently teaches for Cornwall Adult Education as well as for one2one Fitness. She currently teaches the hugely popular Balance class at the club.
Jo Hutton - Instructor
Jo Hutton is a hugely popular instructor with a wealth of experience in teaching classes at all levels. She has many years experience of teaching at a high level across Devon and Cornwall as well as having previously been a studio co-ordinator at the China Fleet Club. Her motivational experience in studio classes is exceptional, and her professionalism is unsurpassed. She is a Level 3 Assessor and currently teaches spinning, pump FX, Legs, bums 'n' tums, Step and Groove FX and the quality of her teaching is clearly demonstrated in her high class numbers. She is also a qualified Nordic Walking instructor. Jo is also a qualified Aqua aerobics instructor, gym instructor and circuit training instructor.
Sarah Kirkham - Nutritionist
Sarah has a First Class Honours Degree in Nutritional Medicine and also studied naturopathic nutrition with the British College of Nutritional Therapy for 4 years. She won an award for research in diabetes, which was published in the Journal of Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism (Dec 2009), and has been helping people to follow a healthier diet for over 20 years. Sarah is available for nutritional advice and consultations by appointment, and she has published a number of books which include: Eating for Health; Lose Weight, Gain Energy, Get Healthy; Teach Yourself Running; Get into Running; Weight Loss – The Essential Guide; Food for Health – The Essential Guide; 10 Rules for Guaranteed Weight Loss, and 10 Minute Yoga.
Robert Day - Personal Trainer
For those who train with Rob, exercise had been a life changing experience! Rob is a freelance fully-qualified Level 3 Personal Trainer working under the name Improved Foundation PT, and offers sessions here at One2one Fitness. His experience comes from working independently with clients in big brand fitness centres in Berkshire, and he is now based in mid-Cornwall. He is currently enrolled into further study to improve his capabilities and skills in strength coaching, in order to be qualified to support developing atheletes from regional to national level
